I felt so unwelcome in her shop and targeted. I'm actually a fair skinned Māori & she followed me everywhere I went. Even when others walked in the shop, the lady followed me. I felt targeted and felt like I HAD to buy something to prove I wasn't what she thought I was. A lovely lady noticed and had come up to me outside the shop and apologized on the workers behalf. And then another lady offered to punch her in the face for me hahaha. So lovely locals. Rude lady who works there. This was just yesterday too.
Always a warm and friendly atmosphere, great place to shop! and always worth the stop in Kaikoura to do so. They stock my favourite mens denim brand VOLCOM, super comfy jeans. Go give them a try.
