Very nice ???? little spot. Not too busy, good for families with little ones. If you can't ski, hop on the donut and slide down the ramp.
A family favourite of ours. Dogs are welcome (one of the few places in NZ you can take your k9 along). This is grass roots skiing at its best. A couple of pummers for the kids and also t bars. No chairs but that’s ok. The drive up requires confidence in driving and YES you will need chains and 4x4 especially if snow is fallen recently.
We would like to say thank you and how grateful we were to Tess from Mt Lyford and so many lovely people who came to assist us down the mountain on Saturday. Our car got stuck because our snow chain broke half way up, people tried to fix the broken chain and even offered to loan us a new one and helped push our car, we were so lucky to meet such nice people! We didn’t manage to ski but our kids loved to play with the snow at the base. We will be back one day and thanks everyone for your help, we are very grateful.
Any awesome day up the hill. The warm friendly club field atmosphere just tops it. No crowds compared to the big commercial fields as well. And dogs 2????
We had a great time up there. Well worth going here to ski great area for kids and nice runs for beginners and intermediate. Lovely club house very relaxed with great room to stretch out with children. No queues no hassles all the fun with no barrage of people. Beautiful spot and would love to come back in the summer too. Very nice people well done.
